NYC Park Advocates (NYCPA) is responsible for regularly breaking and contributing to many of the city's park and environmental stories through original reporting, in-depth research and analysis. We work regularly with the city’s top media outlets, as well as with numerous journalism and public policy programs in universities. We are known for our accurate and reliable reporting, research and extensive sources.
To help achieve our goals, NYCPA conducts research, monitoring public policy, public agency performance, environmental issues, government legislation and the actions of individuals that affect NYC and its environs. We work throughout the city to involve and empower citizens and community groups concerned with the ecologically and environmentally sound use of parks, as well as to increase public interest and awareness of park advocacy.
One of the primary ways we accomplish increasing public interest and awareness is by directing our findings to the attention of elected officials, concerned constituencies, the general public, and the media. Chronologically listed below please find a partial list of media NYCPA has appeared in or has been responsible for. In the event of radio or TV, not all transcripts may be available on our site.
